WAIT: Remain strongly attached while staying put, or still, until something expected occurs. To "wait upon the Lord" is to remain true to Him until the time when He sees fit to pour out the full measure of His blessings.
2 Ne 6:8 "...and thou shalt know that I am the Lord; for they shall not be ashamed that wait for me."
2 Ne 6:13 "...and the people of the Lord shall not be ashamed. For the people of the Lord are they who wait for him; for they still wait for the coming of the Messiah."
